Promotion Standards for First Grade
These are the following First Grade standards for the Houston Independent School District.
1. Passing grade on the Stanford 10 standardized test. This test is administered during the second semester of the school year and covers basic subject matters recognized by the Texas Education Agency.
2. Passing grade on the High Frequency Word Evaluation which is administered in early April of each school year.
3. A 70% grade average in all core subject classes.
